so there may or may not be a couple of DEMASIADO t-shirts (along with free copy of Demasiado w/purchase of shirt) over at SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON. They may or may not be available at table EE-05 and for sale by artist JIM MAHFOOD. but if you should run into a familiar acpac face on the show room floor tell them that you heard about the comic-con exclusive Bootleg editions of both "Cinta Magnetica: Demasiado" and/or "City of Fragments" and they may or may not be inclined to just give you a copy. again these are all unofficial announcements.
also! the band KID VEGAS and XANIMO MAY or may not be performing SUNDAY NIGHT at the BEAUTY BAR in san diego.. COME CHECK THE BANDS OUT ON YOUR WAY OUT OF SAN DIEGO and AVOID THE TRAFFIC WITH US! it's gonna be super rad and you should super come.
here's what the fancy dvd bootlegs looks like:

there's a very very very very limited amount of both copies so if you don't end up snagging one at comic-con be sure to either send us a myspace message or e-mail us at acpacproductions@gmail.com and we can work out how to get a copy.
ANYWAY! hope to see you all in san-diego!! thanks to everyone for the support and love!

decided to share what i've been recently working on in case you don't check the flickr.... Another super assignment by the wonderful Briar Levit over at Bitch magazine, about women writers who often are discounted for having ambition. A quick spot illo for Jeff Quinn at Time Out NY, this illustration accompanies a feature about a guy who decides to abstain from sex and explore all the other titillating things in NYC. And finally, a big project for me-- Nick Jr. contacted me recently to create a series of tiny marginal illustrations for their Halloween issue. About yes, you guessed it-- pumpkins! It was a fun project but if I don't see pumpkins for several months I will be pretty happy! Thanks to AD Paul Tutrone for the awesome work!

http://news.bmezine.com/2008/07/24/suspensions-in-oslo/ This video was shot by my friend Bastian (on a cheap $99 camera) during the Oslo Suscon and and I hope it gives you an idea of how beautiful the atmosphere is during a suspension. Bastian also sent me the following to go with the footage..

I'm updating my etsy shop right now with some sweet finds from yesterday.
 AMAZING crochet apron!
50's style day dress that I LOVE and want to keep, but I probably won't wear it enough and it's a little tight under the arms.
Super cute & comfy stretchy floral/ruffle 80's dress.
 burgandy puff sleeve dress
60's sparkle & scalloped edge jacket (sorry for the wrinkles)
Enjoy St. John's! I think it is probably for St. John's, a neighborhood in Portland, but it works for Canada too!
 70's hippie dress
 fruity muumuu
hippie dress #2! I actually need to get something kind of like this (very very lightweight and thin) for a summer-swimsuit coverup so that I can avoid sunburns while hanging out outside. Sometimes I want to nap in the sun without worry!
 Gold lamé miniskirt!
 high-waisted striped denim shorts
 80's acid wash mini skirt!
This dress I am keeping for myself because it's perfect. Nice fit, very lightweight, super comfy. YAY
Check out this egg that I found in my front yard. It had been there for a while, I think. UNHATCHED! I am going to perform a science experiment and open it up. It's really weird to hold a bird egg with something inside it, because I am used to only finding empty blue shell pieces.
Anyone else watching Generation Kill? So far I think it's really good.
Having a busload of people next to our house is pretty easy so far. It's not as many people as we thought it would be, one couple is back home or something planning their wedding, and the hitchhiking dude has departed. So it is two adult couples, a kid and a dog. We haven't had any neighbor complaints about the bus (although the lady across the street from the side of our house came out and asked them about it, which is funny because she has NEVER spoken to us before!), and the bus is fully equipped for living except their toilet sucks so the verdugo household is providing bathroom use for the crew.
NOT MUCH ELSE TO REPORT

Another "Please help!?" post...
I'm looking for examples of tattoos like this (Poor quality photo, I'm sorry, but It was literally the only similar thing I could find).

Specifically I'm looking for Gypsy face tattoos with the outline of the bones/skull in pink. I want it to be a lady's face with the subtle lining of the bones, as apposed to the Dia De los Muertos women who are skeletons/skulls with women's features (if the makes sense).
I have been searching for weeks for examples with no luck. I've googled, flickr'd, BME'd, the works.
Can anybody point me in the direction of some examples, or even tell me the name of the style (if there is one) so I can narrow down my searching?
I'd appreciate any help. Thanks guys

I went to a local charity shop before they close for vacation for 1 month! I'm not exactly sure how much for each items as it's the shop that you just pick stuffs and the woman at the counter will tell you price of everything :/ I'm going to guess from what I can remember when the sell lady told me (she mostly charged me 1 euro for big items and 50 cents for small ones)
I found this box full of colors wood blocks.I don't really know what they are use for, guess that I use for learn how to count? but have no idea how to use them anyway.I just got them for my craft works :D About 1 euro.
I got more stuffs but I'm afraid I would make this post too big (sorry for the size of pictures too) I will post the rest in my lj or will come back and post more here later ! Thank you for looking ^^

here are some things i wrote down from an essay of susan howe's on emily dickenson (from the birthmark)
words are only frames what is writing but continuing she created herself author, editor, publisher, she situates her production her calligraphy influences meaning writer as a transmitter she read to write to meet the work with writing words as a signal open yourself, let language enter, let it lead you somewhere... i begin with fragments and they take me to what i find [yes! this is how i write, too] try to order and the explanation breaks free of itself

i found this painting in my closet! i thought for sure it was sold but it turns out i forgot about it. the original is 11x17 inches (a3 format), in perfect condition. watercolour and acrylics on acid free, thick paper. you guessed it, i'm in huge financial trouble. again. to be fair though, i really like this one and i would love for it to find a good home. it's from 2006 so i think i'm going to ask $200 for it. takers? please email info@naomi.se
